Week 28 League Week 25 Review

In a match played earlier this month , Hurricanes defeated league leaders The Postmen by 7 frames to 5 , Che Basra , Tony Ward and David Sellars Jnr all won 2-1 for Hurricanes with Alan Hall Jnr winning 2-1 for The Postmen to give Hurricanes a very good win over the previously unbeaten Postmen. Scott Morrison for Postmen had breaks of 47 and 32. The Postmen now 7 points clear at the top of the table.

Nonny Pool Boys returned to winning ways with an 8-4 win over Chalk is Cheap, early frames were shared with Nonny Pool Boys Declyn Hood winning 2-1 and Tony Bernie of Chalk is Cheap winning 2-1 , Graeme Russell and Jamie Lynn won the match for the Pool Boys winning 2-1 and 3-0 respectively. Nonny Pool boys remain in 2nd place in the table.

4Aces edged out Touching Cloth in a 7-5 win with Graeme Innes and Allan Duffy pivotal in the victory , both securing 3-0 wins, Graeme having breaks of 47 , 36 and 30 , Allan also with breaks of 41 and 30.This after Brian McLevy had won 2-1 for Touching Cloth in his match with Ian Reid who had a 30 break. David Cowan won 3-0 for Touching Cloth to complete the scoreline. 4Aces stay third in table.

You've Been Framed had a very good 8-4 win over Baize of Glory to keep their winning run going , winning their last 5 matches. Wullie Brown starred for YBF with a 3-0 win and hitting a 51 break in the process , Quintin Paterson and Craig Reid also won 2-1 for YBF with Arran Fullerton winning 2-1 for Baize. This result meant that YBF leap frogged Baize into 10th place in the table.

Harry's Potters defeated Behind The Black 5-4 where both teams could only field 3 players.Nik Spiers winning 2-1 and David Stirling winning 3-0 for Potters with Iain Beaton winning 3-0 for Behind The Black. Potters now in 5th place in table with Behind The Black in 12th place.

Lucky Break had a 7-5 win over bottom side Potting Bowlers , Graeme Dick winning 3-0 for Lucky Break with breaks of 48 and 36 , Derek Muir won 2-1 for the Bowlers despite Steven Stamp having breaks of 41 and 33 , Graham McQuaid won 2-1 for Lucky Break with Iain Boyd completing the scoreline with a 2-1 win for the Bowlers where Christian Gibson had a break of 55. Lucky Break now in 6th place while the Potting Bowlers are joint bottom with Chalk is Cheap.

The top 4 sides face off against one another in Monday's fixtures when The Postmen  entertain 4Aces and Cuddles face Nonny Pool Boys.
