1 Frame Challenge 2024 Rules & Information

13/04/24

This event will take place over 2 nights to decide the 16 players who will fight it out on Finals Day.

Players will be divided up into groups of 6 or 7 depending on the number of entries.

In each group, each player will play each other player once.
This year we have 38 entries, meaning we have 6 groups.
4 Groups will have 6 players and 2 Groups will have 7 players.

Apart from Group 2 that will play at the Non Such, all other groups will be played at Irvine Snooker Club – see Match Hub tab on website for details.
The top 4 from each group will qualify for week 2.

In the second week the 24 players who qualified from week 1 will randomly be placed in 4 groups of 6 and the top 4 from each group will go through to finals day on the 23rd June 2024.
These last 16 will play a straight knockout competition to find out the winner.

What happens if 2 or more players finish on the same number of frames won?
If the overall frame scores are tied between two players in a group, then whoever won their match will decide the final group order.
If there is a three-way tie, then a blue ball shoot out will be used to determine the final group standings.

Each group will have their own match result sheet to record the usual information: frame scores, 30+ breaks, black ball frames and frames won needing a snooker.
Player handicaps will be applied to all 1 Frame Matches and can be found on the website.
