Review of Week 3

Aces go top of the league!
An 8-4 victory over Point Break means Aces continue their winning ways. Again, a few close frames in this one, but with David Nix the only winning member of Point Break, this was once again a deserved victory for Aces.
Blue Arrows and Lucky Break contested the first draw of the league. A few twists and turns in the final few frames and this match could easily have finished 7-5 either way. Every match finished 2-1, emphasizing how close it was.
One of only 4 players to win 3-0 this week, Simon Clark helped Chancers to their first victory in the League! The 8-4 scoreline against Potting Bowlers gets Chancers some points on the board. Potting Bowler’s only winner was William Gelliburn.
Another player to win 3-0 this week was Ryan McKay. This victory was the main difference between Baize of Glory and The Untouchables and helped to ensure an 8-4 scoreline for the men from Lochwinnoch. They have now won their last 2 games. The Untouchables join Potting Bowlers in losing their first 3 matches. Hopefully, it won’t be too long
before they are both celebrating their first victories!
Usual Suspects were 8-4 winners over Century. The only 3-0 victory was by Sam McDonald who beat Leo Moffat. With all other games finishing 2-1, Sam’s win was really the difference between the teams. Cameron Armstrong was Century’s only winner with a 2-1 victory over Brian Shepley Senior.
Finally, the match between Screwballs and Tidy Rack was postponed due to player difficulties on both sides. It will be played later this week. Screwballs have the chance to go top and Tidy Rack will be keen to remove the memories of their last match: an 11-1 defeat to Lucky Break. Watch this space...
