27/09/22
A big thanks to everyone who will be taking part, as without the players the league is nothing.
This year we have 12 teams looking to take the coveted title of 2022/2023 WOSSL Champions. It all starts on Monday 3rd October 2022. All teams will be playing at Irvine Snooker Club on Week 1. Over the next 6 months, each team will play a home and away game against every other team. It is 2 points for a win, 1 for a draw and no points for a defeat. Matches start at 7:30pm and will be played on a Monday night.
We have 4 venues this year: Most teams will be playing out of Irvine Snooker Club. The exceptions are Baize of Glory who will be playing home games at Loch Barr Leisure in Lochwinnoch, Aces who will be playing home games at the Unionist Club in Ardrossan and Screwballs who will be playing their home games at the Davis Club in Ayr.
The Provisional Calendar for this season sees a break in December & January. December will host a festive event and January 2023 will host a 1 frame singles knockout tournament. There is also a break in the middle of March for a singles tournament to take place
Finally, the season finishes on 8th May 2023, with Finals Day on Sunday 4th June 2023.
Look forward to seeing everyone on Monday!
