Week 19 , League Week 16 Review

Potting Bowlers won for the second week running and in doing so moved off bottom spot. A 7-5 victory over The Rack Pack consigned their opponents to bottom place in the League table. Robbie Robinson won 2-1 for the Bowlers and Calvin Palmer levelled for Rack Pack before Andy Bilby put Bowlers ahead with a 2-1 win and Derek Muir confirmed the win when The Rack Pack couldn't field a fourth player.

Nonny Pool Boys won the derby match against their Nonny Bashers rivals to move further ahead at the top of the table , edging closer to winning their first League title with only 6 League weeks to go.Callum McKinnon had Bashers in front with a 2-1 win , then Jamie Lynn squared the match for the Pool Boys with his 2-1 win over Joe Herring ,Jamie hitting a 34 break.Declyn Hood put the Pool Boys in front with a 3-0 win including a break of 33 and Geo Edgar completed the 8-4 scoreline with a 2-1 win over Kris Robertson , Geo having a 34 break and leading the individual League stats with a total of 39 frames won.

Aces suffered a surprise 8-4 loss at home to You've Been Framed in only their second defeat of the season.Graeme Innes won a closely contested first match against Chris Byrne with a 2-1 scoreline.Allan Duffy put Aces further ahead with a 2-1 win and having a 38 break.Willie Brown and Craig Reid secured the match for YBF when they both had convincing 3-0 wins , Craig earning his first 3-0 win of the season despite Ian Craig having a 30 break

Baize of Glory regained second place in the League Table with Aces loss and a 9-3 victory of their own over Chalk is Cheap.Stephen Shaw (3-0) and Sophie Nix (2-1) had Baize on easy street 5-1 ahead ,Sophie hitting a 31 break in her victory over Gerry Pentleton and the match was won for Baize when Colin Wiggins and Warren Fullerton both won 2-1 , Warren having a 32 break.

Lucky Break edged in front of Aces to take third place in the table on frame difference when beating Century 8-4.Paul Doherty of Century had a fine 49 break in his 2-1 win over Graham McQuaid.John Baxter of Century had a 39 break in his 3-0 loss to Graeme Dick.Cameron Armnstrong of Century had a very good 52 break in his 2-1 loss to Steven Stamp who also had a 38 break.Jatinder Singh of Lucky Break completed the scoring with a 2-1 win

Touching Cloth went level with Cuddles in the table with an 8-4 victory over their opponents Cuddles.Robin Dunlop was in good form with a 32 break in a 3-0 win over Sam McDonald.David Mitchell put Touching Cloth 6-0 ahead  hitting breaks of 50 and 33. Cuddles Nicky Carr and Stewart Garrick both won 2-1 to bring some respectability to the score for Cuddles, Nicky also having a 32 break.

Next week sees a double header between Baize of Glory and Aces which could be pivotal in deciding who finishes in second place in the League , though Lucky Break are waiting in the wings
